Malaika Faisal
Classically trained in Lahore, on stage since 2011. Five singles out now — with new music recorded and on the way.
Introduction
Songs about leaving, arriving, and everything in the middle.
Malaika Faisal was raised in a Lahore music household and trained by her father, the late Ustad Manzoor Hussain Khan. She spent her first years in the industry on stage rather than in the studio — brand concerts, college campuses, Coke Fest.
Her first single arrived in 2017. In 2018 she moved to the United States, and has since performed as far afield as China.

About
The short version
Music was a discipline in her house, not a pastime. Trained by her father in the classical tradition, she carried that grounding into Punjabi and Saraiki folk, into covers of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Sajjad Ali, and into her own singles.
Fifteen years, two countries, and a catalogue still being written.
